マージンが大きく、摺りも保存状態も良好な作品です。
作品の題名は豊臣秀次の辞世の句ではありませんが、秀次の心境がよく伝わる句です。また、顔の表情の描き方が素晴らしい作品と言えます。
黒雲母による光沢と空摺を効かせた白色部分が、摺りの美しさを際立たせています。
A very good impression of this print in a good state of preservation, with full margins.
Although the title of this print is not the last poem Hidetsugu wrote before committing suicide, the poem fully expresses Hidetsugu’s state of mind while he met a tragic end. Furthermore, the facial expressions are wonderfully drawn, to make a masterwork print.
The print is embellished with black mica and embossing in the white parts of the clothes and the white title cartouche.
